- The paintings and descriptive haiku in this blog come from different locations in the Washington DC/mid-Atlantic region. Color is a special interest of mine and I gravitate toward paintings that expressively use color. Some of my favorite artists include: Henri Matisse, Mark Rothko, Fairfield Porter, Georgia Okeefe, Milton Avery, Warren Brant, and Wolf Kahn. The most fun comes when painting your own paintings.
